COVID-19 Protocols

  • All players, coaches, family members and visitors are required to wear an appropriate face covering that covers the nose and mouth at ALL times, except while eating/drinking, or engaging in solo exertion (such as jogging by one’s self).
  •  Screening for COVID-19 symptoms shall be conducted before players and coaches may participate in youth sports activities. Anyone with symptoms should not enter the premises or be allowed to participate.
  •  All youth sporting events, including tournaments, practice games, scrimmages require strict adherence to ALL COVID-19 protocols.
Players shall remain in a stable cohort in order to limit the risk of transmission.
  •  The plan is focused on minimizing risk while still allowing for conditioning, skill and player development.
  •  The best protection for our players and families is for parents to keep players and family members home if showing any symptoms related to COVID-19.

Social Distancing

  • Players shall wait with guardians until just before the beginning of the practice or games.
  •  Appropriate spacing (at least 6 feet apart) of players and coaches shall be maintained while on the field when participating in warmups, skill building and simulation drills.
  •  Unnecessary physical contact, such as high fives, handshakes, fist bumps, or hugs shall be discouraged.
  •  Physical distancing of at least 6 feet between each player and between players and coaches is required at all times.
  •  An 8 foot distance shall be maintained during times of heavy physical exertion. These activities include, but are not limited to training, conditioning, and skills-building activities.
  •  Observers are permitted for youth sports (age 18 years and under) practices and competitions for age appropriate supervision. Observers must be limited to immediate household members.
  • Observers must wear a mask at all times and must maintain a 6-foot physical distance from non-household members.
  • Observers should refrain from shouting, singing, or chanting as these activities increase the volume and spread of respiratory droplets.

Equipment

  • No equipment shall be allowed to be shared between players.
    •  Only exception is the baseball while playing catch or fielding.
  • Players keep equipment in their own bags or within bat racks or in hat racks.
  • Equipment is only allowed to be touched by the player or their guardian.
  • Hand sanitizer shall be used by each player periodically (before each session and when entering or exiting the field).
